Conservation Technology Fellowship

The CTL offers fellowships to students in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. Fellows contribute to various hardware and software projects that directly impact wildlife conservation.

⏱️ Duration: 300 hours (30 weeks, 10 hours/week)
💰 Stipend:
📍 Location: Beckman Center (Escondido, CA)
📅 Availability: Multiple times per year, rolling basis
Eligibility:
  • Upperclass undergraduates or graduate students
  • Background in computer science, software/electrical engineering, or related field
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Conservation Science Summer Fellowship

The Conservation Science Summer Fellowship is a 12-week program where undergrads work one-on-one with a mentor and gain hands-on experience while completing a research project. Fellowships are based at the Beckman Center (Escondido, CA) unless otherwise stated.

⏱️ Duration: 12 weeks, 40 hours/week
💰 Stipend: $8,520
📍 Location: Beckman Center (Escondido, CA)
📅 Start Options:
  • Monday, May 18th to August 7th
  • Monday, June 22nd to Friday, September 11th
Eligibility:
  • Current undergraduate students officially associated with a college or university
  • Graduating seniors continuing their education
  • Eligible to work in the United States

If you are ineligible for the fellowship programs or unable to be on-site, we welcome volunteers who are passionate about conservation technology and want to contribute to our mission.

⏱️ Commitment: 100 volunteer hours per year (SDZWA requirement)
